CCSD Students Advancing to Young Authors Regional Competition

Cherokee County School District students are advancing to the regional level of the Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition!

The annual statewide writing contest is open to students in grades kindergarten through 12 and strengthens literacy by encouraging writing in a variety of genres.  District first-place winners advance to regional competition, and its winners then compete statewide.

Congratulations to our district winners and their teachers!  Thank you to our School Board for its increased focus on literacy and investment in ensuring our students are learning more, growing more, and achieving more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else.
